Nice looking vehicle! What is the battery setup in the camper? Is there a connection between camper battery and truck battery for charging? Is there a disconnect switch?

Thanks,
Steve.

Hi Steve!
So the CampX is equipped with a 12-volt 100-amp hour AGM battery. The camper's power is controlled with a Redarc Manager 30 battery management system. The Redarc converts AC shore power to DC, charges the battery from shore power, and also charges and manages vehicle charging via a connection between the vehicle and the camper. The connection between the vehicle and camper is easily connected or disconnected, and there is also a disconnect switch to the battery. Also, through the Redarc system, you can program where the camper and battery draw power and/or charge from, in order, including the vehicle, shore power, and the solar panels.
Let us know if you have any other questions!

Nice looking setup. I'm a fan of the Tremor. How does it handle the camper? I understand that those are pretty light, but did you feel the need to upgrade the springs in the rear? Is it pretty comfortable when you're highway cruising? How about slow, bumpy off-road?

Thanks! We really couldn't have been happier with this setup. The Tremor handles the camper really well. We never felt the need to upgrade the springs; the suspension barely notices the camp-x. The camper feels well-balanced with no sway on bumpy roads etc. We'd cruise along the highway at 75-80 mph with no problems at all. I guess the biggest testament to how it handles is that I drive it as much as my husband does and I have no tolerance for something that feels unsteady!

What specific model of Overland camper is this one? Trying to match it up on their website.
Yes, they recently renamed the Camp-X the Back Country.
