Original woman owner had vehicle up to 198k- I have Approximately 16 pages or more of maintenance records from when she had it and each page has approximately 35 various Items. It was cared for much more than average, even small details were taken care of at dealership.
- After that it was built with Arb and Slee up grades, Slee Diff drop/ Slee wheel spacers/ Arb 2.5” Ome/ Ko2 305-66-18s. It was painted only do to Florida Sun fade. Clean Carfax, 1 tiny fender Bender years ago with out complication.
I had it brought up north- That man had to buy it, Drive 2,000 mikes and sold it directly to me. Immediately I had it inspected by two seperate Toyota dealerships that found no repair items or service that needed to be be done.
However, I’ve got approximately 20 entries of maintenance done in last 2.5 years- All records caa a n be found on Toyota’s Customer website. I had all fluids changed, Oem Toyota- drain and fill pan on Transmission fluid, Radiator Oem flush. Air and fuel filters changed, Both front Axles (Oem) replaced, valve covers and plug gaskets replacement. The heater Ts done at 160k and again just recently at 249 since I just replaced the Radiator with a new Oem, and many of the hoses. At 225 I did thermo and gasket. The water pump and timing belt had been done at 183,000 (Sticker On engine bay) At 235k I got the Brake booster system replaced with Oem, and not a rebuild. That alone was $2200 for the part.
As I continued to maintain with misc. items I didn’t drive it in winter as I get layed off, and drive my wife’s Subaru. I had the Krown oil spray service done before and after each winter to entire vehicle- for last 2.5 years. Best preventive corrosion maintenance available.
I Just got new Ko2s 5000 miles ago. Same size as prior set and all 5. The front end has just been rebuilt with Slees Spc UCA and the 555 Japan ball joints for upper and lower for each side. The Oem Timken wheel bearings replaced at same time. All Oem plugs and o2 sensors in last 3500 miles
Oil changed with mobile one every 5000 miles and a lifetime alignment from firestone for vehicle is used often. I had engine oil and Transmission fluid samples taken for Blackstone. Both were fine with normal condition. The tires are from mr tire and are rotated and balanced every 5k. I did have them Road force balanced just recently. The last set of the Ko2s were in great condition at 45k , yet I got all new.
The vehicle suspension is 50k miles old and is in good condition. It rides best when loaded down a tad. It is Arb’s OME and I added Airbags in rear coils so it can accommodate load distribution and handle pulling the trailer with out sag.
Arb front bumper with Arb duel fog lites up top and integrated.
- 9500# smitty winch in excellent condition.
The rear Arb has a Jerry can swing out and the full size spare fits underneath with no problem.
Arb snorkel properly installed.
The trailer (M1102 aluminum)was Decommissioned and I bought it in Quantico Va last September- only used rarely and not pulled often.Repainted, new bearings, wheels and Toyo MT tires like new. Fabricated aluminum roof rack, front shelf - and steel additional rear hitch done professionally.
Interior done so it can be removed and still be used as a trailer. All lites are led 12 volt and it now sits to accommodate at regular vehicle height and not military spec.
The Awning and Awning room are Arb. The room is a Deluxe model.
The Roof top tent is a Howling moon stargazer deluxe (top of line) and used only few times.
The Trailer weight is 1700# as it sits now.
Both are in great condition- not perfect for a 16 year vehicle and a 15 year trailer. Yet I’ve maintained both and did tasteful mods.
Most importantly It’s been built and not off road driven. I wanted to move to a state with more opportunities for that, yet A growing family has changed plans.
So if you value rust free and well maintained- this may be the Expedition quality reliable rig for you to be happy on the trails.
Thanks for looking-Adam.
