This Cargobody composite fiberglass body slide in camper has had some custom work done to it. When painted, all the windows were removed resealed the reinstalled. It has 2 rear spring loaded heavy duty ambulance jump seats. Floor mounted 1 1/2" NTP pipe plate bolted through the floor for a post swivel table base at the rear. Sit on the 2 spring loaded jump seats at the rear for lunch at your mounted table, and enjoy the scenery. Just mount any style table top you prefer to the mounting plate. New heavy duty ambulance door hold open exterior door engagement hardware was replaced matching the originals. Installed Maxxair 10 speed ventilation fan that runs very quiet. School bus emergency escape hatch is great for a hunting or as an observation platform. Watertight, no leaks. Dimensions 8’-6”L. Interior height 54 ½ in.
Cargobody then evolved into other manufacturers similar to SpaceKap, and others. Cargobody originally made these slide in units for the military as communication shacks and ambulances, and this unit was built as an ambulance with a nice upper pre-molded storage shelf. The original Cargobody units made for the military had more robust door hinges than the other manufacturers designed door hinging systems. The door hold open retainer latches mounted to the outside can hold the doors open very well in moderate and higher wind gusts.
The solid 2 piece construction was then molded together with a 1” foam core. Additional closed cell rubber sheets were also added to the lower half and under floor. These earlier designed Cargobody units were built rock solid. Shipping weight 525lbs. $4,000. More images available on request. **Forklift onsite to transfer at no cost.** Location: Grangeville, Idaho. Message with questions.
