For Sale: EarthCruiser GZL 300 for Tacoma Access Cab - Asking $31,000 (was $35k)

This unit was purchased from Earthcruiser and picked up in Bend in February of 2018. Installed on my 2017 Toyota Tacoma access cab (6' bed). I lived out of it while I was on a 6 month sabbatical and continued living out of it for another 3 months after returning to work. It was used in single digit winter weather and summer heat. In other words, it kept me comfortable in a wide range of conditions. Since my sabbatical it has been kept out of the elements and stored in a garage. Selling because I recently bought a house in Seattle and could use the money to help pay the mortgage.

What EarthCruiser has to say about the GZL: https://earthcruiser.com/our-vehicles/earthcruiser-gzl/
  1. The GZL pop-up truck camper is engineered to fit light to medium duty trucks beds. Utilizing the same methodology in developing an EarthCruiser, the GZL was thoughtfully designed to keep going where other truck campers can’t. Outfitted to get you out further and stay there longer with standard equipment suitable for four seasons, the GZL camper can take you almost anywhere your imagination can.

A few notes on this unit:
  1. The build: Has all the standard GZL features with additional options; 1) Jacks, 2) Extra 90 Amp Battery, 3) Portable Toilette- never used, 4) Bed storage extension for 6 foot beds. For standard features see link above
  2. The heater: it is definitely over sized for the camper, so it will work great for almost all winter winter conditions. On more occasions than I can remember, I'd come back to the camper, chilled to the bone from skiing and be warm within 5 minutes.
  3. The solar: with 2 batteries provided more than enough energy during the winter as well.
  4. The fit: I'm 6' 2" tall and can fit comfortably. I've stayed in the camper with my girlfriend who is 5' 8" and we didn't feel cramped

Very nice and as far as I can see quite rare. Were is it located? Do you know the weight empty and then ready to camp? You mention for a Tacoma I assume it will work with other midsize trucks?

Hey There,

Located in Seattle Wa. Empty and dry the weight is around 900 lbs. It should fit other midsize trucks but would have to check with the manufacturer to verify.

Hey, we'd like to take a look at your camper...would that be possible? We're in the Puget Sound area:)
Hi there,

Apologies for the delayed response. I'd be happy to show off the rig, just let me know if there is a time you'd like to meet. The evenings are the most convenient for me as I work/live in Seattle and am currently storing the GZL in Port Orchard, Wa.

Cheers,
Stephen

Interested they speak about it being mounted to a rail system for mounting is that also included?

“The GZL is mounted on a patented rail system, that directly mounts it to the chassis of the truck. This rail system makes it easy remove and remount the GZL using an auto-alignment system. There are 8 bolts holding the camper to the rail system on two different planes. Each bolt is easy to get to for removal, and when installed is the most reliable system purposefully designed for off-road travel.”

The rail system is also included. Let me know if you have any other questions.
