For sale: My Fujitsu U810 ultra-mobile PC. $275
This computer runs Windows Vista and all Windows applications, but fits
in one hand and weighs less than 26 ounces. Even though the screen is
small (5.4 inches diagonally), the pixel count is 1024 x 600, the same
as the typical netbook. The screen rotates to lie flush on the keyboard,
and can be operated by the touchscreen.
It's hard to describe how small this computer is. Here's a photo of it
sitting on the keyboard of an HP netbook computer.
The computer can be held in one or both hands. The pointer that substitutes
for the mouse, mouse buttons, and page up/page down buttons are
positioned so you can operate them while holding the computer in your hands.
Despite the small size, I find I can type accurately if I take my time.
Checking Craigslist and eBay, the going price for this model is about $375.
I'll sell mine for $275 to an ExPo member. Shipping by Priority Mail is
about $10, so $285 delivered.
I bought this computer last Fall for a project, which is now completed. The
computer is in great shape. Send me a PM if you're interested.
