M416 For Sale $4,500
M416 Military trailer with My Way Serengeti Trailer Tent. Trailer is registered and titled in Florida. The combo is garage kept and lives in Jupiter Florida.
The M416 frame and tub are in good shape. A new wider axle was fitted to match the width of the 4Runner I typically tow with. It is just right to fit down narrow trails. On the new axle I opted for 6 x 139.7mm bolt pattern to match the Toyota pattern. Tires are Kenda Klever 255/75/17, wheels are Toyota Tacoma 17"x7”. New fenders were made and modeled after the originals but wider and of thicker steel. A Toyota 4Runner spare tire winch was installed in the front of the trailer under the tub in the event you wanted a out of the way spot to store your spare. Steel L channel was used to reinforce the upper edge and mount the 3 sets of Yakima towers and cross bars. The Trailer Tent was sourced from the now closed Camping Lab of South Florida. The bed is on top of the trailer with LARGE room. The Tent has a wet and dry season rain flys, and the option to camp without either. Takes about 10 minutes to set up with one person or 7 minutes with two. Ladder, poles, guy lines, hammer, and repair equipment stow under the cover. The Tent model is Serengeti and manufactured by My Way. To date this is the 2nd Serengeti Trailer Tent I know of in North America. The has the original pintel coupler and the adjustable pintel drawbar is included in the sale. The rear of the trailer has seen some tasteful modifications. The rear panel of the tub was was rough, so we sanded, filled, and cut it out to make a tailgate. The rear frame member was inadequate to add a receiver to so it was cut out and a new section of steel welded in. In it we're a full section of 2" tow bar, a good recovery point if need be but I use it for our bike rack. Toyota FJ 40 tail lamps were added. Marker lights are 3/4" maxxima led. Trailer was rewired with 7 way connector. After searching for a trailer jack to my liking and finding none that fit I. The short span I opted to weld a hi-lift to the front triangle. This is simple and extremely sturdy when lifting the tongue and stabilizing in camp. In addition two stabilizers on the rear keep the trailer from rocking at all while in camp. The stabilizers are aluminum with steel landing feet. Operated with a 19mm socket, and 5 positions. Much love and attention have been given in the build of this trailer.
