The time has come for me to sell my Roamin Chariot. Asking $3000, located in Woodinville, Washington about 45 minutes east of Seattle.
I purchased from a longtime owner in fall 2023. Installed some goodies and then used it for a big roadtrip around the southwest, and lots of little adventures in the PNW. It has served as a great proof of concept for me, and now the family needs more space.
Details:
Manufactured in 2000
Approximately 7’ long - fits 6.5’ bed with or without tailgate down
Originally built for ford ranger, narrow base fits in current Tacoma/Ranger. Currently on platform to fit in Ram 2500. Also fits great in 1st gen Tundra.
Custom additions:
Heavy duty exterior tiedowns and jack brackets
Reico titan jacks
SMEV 2-burner stainless stove/sink combo (hand pump faucet)
Full electrical system - 100ah battleborn battery, victron DC/DC charger, victron battery monitor, blue sea fuse block.
Diesel heater - mounted in pelican case on outside of camper.
The good:
Light weight, highly functional, and ready to be further customized (add a fridge, solar, inverter, etc.) or used as-is.
Has everything you need for camping in any weather.
Siding, canvas, zippers all in pretty good shape for a 25 year old camper
Perfect little camper for a couple or small family.
The bad:
Tiny pinholes in canvas at back corners. Patched with tenacious tape/seamgrip and no current issues
Linoleum flooring is pretty beat. We just use a yoga mat.
Roof suffered damage from a branch under previous owner. I patched with a double layer of roofing membrane and eternabond, no issues so far.
There seems to be a leak around the passenger corner of the front piano hinge when driving in heavy rain. It’s been stored under cover and no signs of mold/rot/damage, but haven’t been able to track down the source. I’ve replaced all the vinyl trim and recaulked, but it could use more troubleshooting.
I have many more photos and videos of the camper, happy to send to an interested party.
