(Sold) Rossmonster Lagom series pop-up

workerdrone

Part time fulltimer
Spent the first weekend with it camping, was pretty nice - pops up and stows very quickly, construction generally seems solid, I have to re-do one of the articulating arms because it looks like it was assembled backwards on delivery but still works.

Rails of the camper are both inside the bed rails of the Tundra, as it was made for Tacoma, I just used 2x4 bolted to the bed rails to hold it up, then it was touching the cab roof, so another 2x4 on top of the those rails to make a T of the 2x4's raised it the right amount.

4 Turnbuckles cranked down to the corner tie-downs in the bed, wired up a Goalzero Yeti (came with it) and a fridge to the solar, threw in my camping stuff, and hit the road for 2 nights.

I've got suspension porpoising on the concrete sectional highway parts now that I never had before, even loaded with gear, so I've gained some weight and thrown off the F/R balance I'm guessing - but I've got 100% stock truck and suspension so maybe some better shocks are in order finally after 50k of ownership. Not sagging in the rear at all.

It's got 200w solar, a Maxxfan, led lighting, Thule awning, rear window with screen, side hatches with attachment points galore, roof rail, about a 2" thick dense mattress that feels like latex maybe. It came with a whole interior build of 2 benches with a bunch of farkle built in but I'm leaving it out I think.

200w of solar is overkill, the Yeti didn't get below 98% all weekend with the fridge running, and that's the biggest load.

Will make some more pics soon but the 'build' is about done lol - just have to wire up the light bar (all electric was just chopped short right out of previous truck) and a couple of tweaks but I'm going to leave the bed empty with no build in it, not going to use the water tank / pump / gas heater / furniture, just leave each trip a la carte.

First pic was first mount, then added 2 more inches of riser:
