Never used, my other compass has lasted years, starting to show wear, but is sentimental at this point. So, cleaning out the back (storage drawers) and as much as I hate to, think it's time to sell.

Drop me a note here first if you send a PM.

Thanks-
Erik

"sentimental" - I suffer from similar affliction. I'm still using a mechanical thommans altimeter, a 40 yr old MSR stove, 30 yr old goretex bivvy sack. I also have that same compass

Which version is this?

-"USGS UTM scales"
-"USGS UTM scales & directions in Mils"
-"Metric UTM scales & inch ruler"

MiamiC70 -

This is the actual compass I am selling:

I am on the road in VA and my wife sent me a photo - this new link is the correct one.

Going to edit my original post.

My old compass is a different version. Didn't realize in all these years they were different as this one has sat in a recovery bag.

This compass I am selling states 'global' and not just NH (Northern Hemisphere).

Hope this helps.

I've got one of these - mine is NOT Global needle that this one is. I love it. Probably best compass made today. No bubbles. My new Brunton 5 with Global needle - yeah...bubble already.

Talk about sentimental...I still have my Silva Ranger Type 15 from the late 1980's. I beat the hell out of it. Did not treat it right at all. It gets bubbles the last few years but only in cool to cold weather.

Still have my Camp Trails Grey Wolf internal frame (60 or 70 liter) backpack and my first Swiss Army Knife - a Super Tinker I also beat the hell out of...all bought roughly the same time as the Silva. Some I bought at the old EMS on Comm Ave in Brighton, some stuff I got at Hilton's Tent City. Back then it was on Friend St near Boston Garden. Also, still have my MiniMate lunch cooler from 1997.

But I digress. Nice compass
