It’s the newer trend of gen x/z‘ers these days....turning nouns into verbs.

Well why not? Language is or should be rather plastic I suppose.

It now works for me, once I got used to hearing it so frequently on the news or in commercials every day.

But (as George W. might say), sometimes my brain gets a little confabulated by all a this verbification.
