now SOLD! our '64 Apache Raven tent trailer. Buy it today and camp in it tomorrow- no repairs needed. We've used this beauty for 10 years and it's only for sale since we've now got a travel trailer and a Dormobile. At less than 500 lbs, it sleeps four, yet you can tow it with anything, and lift the tongue and pull it around the yard.
We purchased a new canvas in 2004, including the optional awning and road cover, from Gregory's Canvas. The canvas and screens are still in good condition with no holes, and all zippers run free. We had new mattresses made, with vinyl on the bottom and a velour on the top, which were always covered with sheets so no stains. Trailer has the original rubber floormat, original hubcaps, original awning poles, original set-up instructions, and a custom spare tire holder on the tongue. The road tires are 1 year old (have receipt). The aluminum body has the original paint, with some minor scrapes and dings.
This tows great with classic cars, works great on mild off-road trails, and is virtually undetectable behind anything you'd tow it with. It's so light because it's only got two double beds- no sink/stove/fridge/furnace. But it's great to get the kids off the ground or make things a bit nicer for the significant other. We've taken it all over the state, to the Panamints, Death Valley, Sierras, beaches, etc. It's got a clear PTI (permanent trailer identification) in my name. The black license plate is original to the trailer, and registration is $10 every 5 years. Uses a 1.75" tow ball and flat-four wiring plug.
