1999 Freedom Deluxe Casita.
Located in Illinois. Asking $18,000 obo. Clear title in hand.
EDIT: Price drop $16,500
The original owner of this trailer had it custom ordered to her spec. It was built without the side dinette and it has a bathroom but no toilet. No messy black water tanks. I do have all of the original paperwork, receipts, and manuals. I bought the trailer from a couple out of Iowa who dragged it to several iconic state parks and national forests so its seen its fair share of adventure. With that being said it needed some maintenance and updating. I purchased the trailer in July 2021. My intentions where to make something that was slightly offroadable with some amenity. Long story short the trailer has never left my driveway om any adventures. Life has gotten in the way and have since lost interest. Its time for a new owner.
This trailer is not perfect and still needs little things to get there. For instance there is a leak at the sink connection in the bathroom. Thankfully this area is contained and just runs down the floor drain into the gray tank. Ive only had the city water connection on long enough to test that the water tank does not leak and that the water pump works and that both sinks are operable. The fridge works but its old and takes a while to fire up. My guess would be the anode. One of the rear stabilizers is bent as the previos owner caught it on his driveway incline. To keep for boring you with long stories Ive copied and pasted my build notes throughout my process. Im asking for what I have into it. If you have any further questions or requests for more pictures please feel free to comment here or send me a PM.
07/02/21 Bought the Casita used in Iowa
07/03/21 Took it for a decent wash and cleaning. Replaced the old carpet with a vinyl peel and stick. Fixed the crack in the door with a door guard plate.
07/06/21 Extended the trailer lights plug and added a jumction box on the tongue.
07/07/21 Installed bug screens over water heater and furnace exterior vents.
07/10/21 Refinished the tongue of the trailer in gloss black. Resealed door window and painted trim pieces gloss white. Scraped away old door weatherstripping and replaced with a rubber seal. Started to lay out measurements for the side bed/couch.
07/11/21 Installed the Stromberg CarlsonTongue Trailer Tray
07/16/21 Installed new LED marker lights front and rear, sealant, and rivets.
07/17/21 Installed Maxxair Deluxe fan, water tank drain, stove vent cover with all new rivets and sealant
Thinking of doing twilight interior lights
07/22/21 Replaced the license plate mount with an LED lit version.
08/03/21 Resealed both taillights and water fill door
08/06/21 Checked to make sure theres no leaks in water system. Tank is fine, kitchen faucet works, bathroom faucet works with the exception of a leak in the cold water fitting. Will have to replace the line and install the HEPVO valve in the tub.
08/22/21 Finished the extra bed. Found outdoor cushions on the Marketplace to make up the mattress.
09/25/21 Finished painting the last of the cabinet, closet, and bathroom doors.
09/29/21 Installed new High Lift axle.
10/09/21 Buffed, waxed, and polished
10/15/21 Installed larger wheels and tires
