Hey all, new to the forum here. I have been in the market for a TC-650 for a couple years now. They are like tring to find a unicorn around here (Colorado) let alone finding one for $5,000! :Wow1: Every other one I have seen as nice as yours and the other guy with the TC-650 on his Tundra have all been in the 12k range. Still looking and hoping I can score one as nice as these someday. Great threads for giving me ideas though. Keep it coming!

found mine on RVTrader.com its an '05. there out there :)
my buddy bought a cherry 2010 tc650 for 10k off craigslist, he drove from san diego to Shasta to get it.

New kitchen Drawers

The drawers in the kitchen were kinda short 14" long and it seems when ever I worked in the kitchen I would catch my pocket on the Knobs. I noticed on the 2013 up Northstars new style drawers with push/pull Knobs, So I ordered 2 new Drawers which are 20" long, a little difference in wood color. Best to check how deep your cabinets are before you upgrade. I can now store more stuff.
see pics.

Your right, It appears that maybe NADA needs to update their pricing to suit the real market. I guess they think some unit 13 years old is not worth much?? Where can you/we find a used purchase truck pop-up camper prices??

NADA RV does not give you a "what is my RV worth" but rather an actual value by NADA wholesale and NADA retail recorded from transactions across the US. Values can vary due to location but the industry average of prices for used RV trade-ins and retail RV values

However so long as you enjoy yours=great.
=brian
My NADA value is $1905 for my 2000 Northstar TC800. I could easily get 2X that here.

Under bed storage Mod

It seem when I store small items under the cabover bed area, that when I need to use that item , it slid all the way to the front of the storage area. So I made some cheap adjustable compartment separators,
easy mod=
Problem solved.

TC650 in San Diego

I've been driving by a TC650 sitting in a driveway nearby for years. If anybody's interested I can get the address. I'm in San Diego. It looks good.

Out with the Mag-lights

My 2D cell Mag-lights just got to big and heavy, so I switch to the 5” lightweight LED Cree 3 AAA battery type.
And found a nice place in my TC next to the door making it east to grab them at night.
I used large fishing rod holders to mount them. See pics

Save roof liner.

If you have HELCO wind-up roof. You may start or have pin holes in the corners of the canvas roof liner. I noted the Hex bolts may rub on the roof liner when in the Down position while traveling. (See Pic).
I ordered 9/16” Hex plastic caps from Pro-Dec.com, about 35cents each. Just press on, seem to resolve issue. See Pics.

Ordinary average guy
Thanks for the tip Brian. I'm heading for a short excursion tomorrow and will check if these bolts present a problem in my rig.

Brian,

To my dismay, my 2013 TC850 drawers are also very shallow even thought there's plenty of space available for longer drawers. Are the 20" drawers you ordered stock from Northstar?

I'm getting more and more frustrated by the manufacturer's failure to efficiently utilize all available space.

Thankfully mine didn't come with the 3-burner range, which is overkill for a small rig. Even with the 2-burner range, I plan to build a raised cutting board to place over it when not in use. Maybe it's just me but I need the more space for veggie chopping than I need for cooking. It doesn't look like your rig leaves any space for that.

Regards,
Mike
