Hi All,
I have an urgent question:
I've hooked up a Redarc TVMS system with Redvision and Manager 30 in my Jeep Gladiator. The M30 gets a connection from the main battery, I read good voltage there with a multimeter. Common ground goes to a solid connection on the frame, I check and it's good.
Now, as soon as I connect an ignition trigger wire to the M30, the voltage readout on the TVMS for the car drops to 10.8V (but the car actually still delivers 13V or so). I disconnect the ignition trigger and the readout goes back up. From all I know, I believe that I need to run the system with the ignition trigger since the Jeep has a smart alternator that varies the voltage greatly while driving. The M30 does not charge the battery (which is a LiFePO4 Renogy battery at 98% charge state).
What am I missing?
Any pointers are GREATLY appreciated, since we are leaving on a trip tomorrow and I only just got ready installing this (I know, I know ... I just didn't get it done any faster).
