lost on the mainland
OK thought some might get a kick out of this
I used to own a bike shop back in the day ! so did a lot of riding
I think this was about 1982 ? or about 30 years ago heading out of my parents main home in Wash state ! used to ride down the coast every summer from Poulsbo Wash to the Bay area either San Francisco or Santa Cruz
did it about 8 or 9 summers till I stayed on island instead of coming back to the mainland
fastest we did it was 11 days slowest was something like 23 days ? one summer we got back and turned around did it again ! one summer we rode back up !!! otherwise we used to catch some old bus called the green turtle or something ? or hitch all the way back which was a adventure with bikes !!! one year we flew back but only once !
funny I was into 4x4 back then also ! for those that remember Datsun
also had a Toyota 4x4
and of course the Vuarent sunglasses back then ! Eclipse bags ! used to love those bags in the day
this bike was a Woodrup Gyro Touring still have the frame ! another great 80s race frame I have is a nice Rossin
