Some pictures from the Bonneville Salt Flats and Silver Island Mountians

We took an unplanned trip to the Bonneville Salt Flats and also Had a little time to check out the Silver Island Mountains!



Got the old beast up to about 80 mph on the salt and called it good enough. It salt was a little damp. But now I can say I've driven on the salt!

Next we headed over to the Silver lake mountains. We found some coral pieces up there while exploring as well. pretty cool.

This is a 50+ mile round trip. Its a loop road around the mountains. There are supposed to be petroglyphs up there and abandoned silver mines.

We left a little late this morning around 11.00 am, so we only had enough time to do about 20 miles of it, with a little side exploring. we will probably go back in the spring or next fall





We found this old foundation. Not sure what it was used for. I found a survey marker embedded into it as well.
