Would flashing front wheel lights but with a solid CDL light, be a purchase dealbreaker for you?

Especially with new shocks, tires, and timing belt/water pump service done recently?

I'm thinking it feels more like a bargaining chip, but I've been told I have bad judgement with cars, sometimes..haha!.

I'd hit it. What could go wrong? :sombrero:

Seriously, troubleshooting the FWD system isn't rocket science. You might drive the thing and ascertain whether or not the front wheels are actually engaged or not.

What exactly are teh "front wheel lights" is it the light flashing giving the impression that the front end isn't engaging/working when in 4wd???

If it's a good price with all teh PM that sounds like it's had, I'd think that could be fixed (if there's actually a problem not just a flickering light maybe???) for a reasonable price and could be used as leverage to get the price down.

Most montero owners nearly or really NEVER engage 4wd and most of the time a flashing 4wd light means you just need to cycle the system a few times. At most its a relatively easy fix...

Sounds like you found a good answer through Off-roader. I'd say go for it unless you can see that something is REALLY wrong with the front diff.
