Sorry, another Tacoma tire thread...

Kind of a tire size question, but not really. I am currently running 33x9.50xR15 BFG AT/KO's, and have plenty of clearance everywhere except the frame on the front right. The right tire rubs at the rear a little when turned full right. This wouldn't bother me except that I want to go to a 33x10.50xR15, which will then rub quite a bit. My truck has a 2.5" lift, bump stops have never been changed, and I'm still using the stock 15" AL rims. I see guys on here running larger tires, with smaller lifts, and using stock rims, so any ideas what's going on with my front right that it rubs?

I'm not sure if it's the same for the Tacomas, but I got my body mounts chopped to keep my larger tires from rubbing. Might want to go to TTORA or Ih8mud and post the question there

I am not sure how much lift I have, but I have ome 881 coils and a 1" body lift and have beat my pinchweld in but I still rub the fender around the pinchweld area. I have 33x1050s.

To me it seems like a backspacing issue, because I have wheelers steeies 15x8 type b (which are 3.75bs I think). Stock 15s are 15x7 4"bs, so they are going to be closer to the frame. It seems to me that finding the middle ground between rubbing the frame and rubbing the pinchweld area is a fine line. I would imagine that a 15x7 with a 3.75 bs or a 15x8 with a 4" bs would be a good middle ground. Like I said before though, my 33x1050s rub on the pinchweld when I have my wheel turned just slightly and hit a big bump and my tire stuffs up into the fender. I will probably just add some OME 10mm plates, or set my bilstein5100s to the next highest setting.

You could always get some tiny wheel spacers for your stock rims and then that would get the tires away from the frame. :smiley_drive:
