Source for Silverado bumpers and armor???

Can somebody recommend some manufacturers of bumpers, sliders, and armor for a 1500 series Chevrolet? It's a 2001 regular cab short box. If they are available within Canada that would be even better so that I could avoid having to ship across the border.

Depends on what styles you wanna go with but your best bet is probably finding a fabricator to build what you want.

That's an idea. I'll ask around.

I'm looking for something functional that doesn't add any unnecessary weight. The All-Pro Off Road stuff looks interesting but they don't make anything for my truck.

I am happy with the ARB bumper for my 2005 Silverado HD. If you catch them on sale at 4WP, they cost right at $1000 plus the freight can be free during certain sales. I haven’t started shopping for sliders or anything else for it yet as it hasn’t graduated to major off-roading trips yet. Got a built ’78 K10 for that.

Check out my build thread, linked in the sig line. I have done bumpers front and rear on my Tahoe from a couple of different companies.

Fab Fours offers a really stout looking rear bumper for those models, but their front one has disappeared from their site (at least I think I remember seeing one on there a while ago.) I've never seen it personally, but I have seen their stuff on a Tundra and Ram. This GM one doesn't look that much different than what was on those trucks.

The ARB would be a good pick up front (airbag certified.) Sliders would probably have to be a custom piece.

i looked into the fab fours bumper and they are mucho $....1500 for a rear and 2200 for the front... Most MFG's only make stuff for the HD's.... only other MFG would be ranch hand.. As far as sliders... I have a Set of NFAB 3 step nerf bars.... they served as my sliders for my trip to Moab last May.... I beleive smittybuilt makes the same style ones for a lot less $...

I've been looking at buckstop bumpers, but they are probably too heavy/ranch style for what you are looking for, and $2k.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. That TrailReady Pre-Runner Guard looks great. I'll go talk to the local shop I've been dealing with to see if they can get them in. The trouble is though... 02TahoeMD's truck has started to make me wonder if I shouldn't be looking at a Yukon or Tahoe....
