Sourcing a G-Wagen

FR just got back to me, saying they don't have the tank for petrol G and they don't consider developing it. Too bad.

Lame. That leaves ORC in Germany as the only one I know which offers an aux tank..at the cost of ~$3000!
Thor at Viking Offroad called me today. He estimated that the tank would be only for the W460/461 (euro) diesels, no gas as they aren't as popular in S.A.

Check 4x4camp.eu , it seems they have a tank for petrol engines, slighty cheaper than ORC. ORC won't ship the tank around, but need tominstall it themselves.... (??????).

Thanks, I've seen theirs too, it's not much less IIRC.
Daniele at ORC never mentioned anything to me about not being able to ship either of their 3 tanks to the USA.
A G-Wagen friend did up his own 10ga and has the drawings on Pointedthree.com forum.

As for the window tint sticker vs tinted glass. If you send me your VIN, I can look it up in EPC and see what it came from the factory with.

For example, my 1999 G500 has clear front and second row windows with tinted cargo windows. Another friend of mine who also has a 1999 G500, all windows are clear. My truck had all windows with stick on tint when I bought it, I peeled it and was pleasantly surprised to see dark glass in the back as they all looked the same with the stick on. The USA Gwagens imported 2002+ are all tinted from the factory in the second row and cargo windows.
