Timing is everything...so they say...I just got back from 13 days in south eastern Utah. The weather was typical for the month of April NOT June. With daytime temperatures in the low 70s and nights getting down to the upper 40s; it was a perfect time to explore the slots and history of the area. Over 13 days of hiking, canyoneering, and exploring; I saw only two other people in the canyon. Crazy...No one was there...kind of the way I like it! However, if you get a chance to explore; head south on Hwy. 95 from Hite and you will not be disappointed on what you mind find. The camping, hiking, canyoneering, and just watching the sunsets and stars is epic! Load up the SUV and see what you might find...enjoy the pics...I hope they give you an essence of the area. An area that needs to be protected...An area the Anasazi once called Home.
