Anyone here try or use the TOAKS brand utensils?
I have the TOAKS long handle titanium spoon and use it for backpacking and camping. All the Toaks stuff is great. If you are even thinking about it just go ahead and buy. You won't be disappointed. I also had one of their pots. While the pot was good and did exactly what it should have, I sold it because I prefer aluminum pots.

Looking at getting a utensil to stick in my day pack. It will mostly be used to eat soft food or liquids ( yogurt, soup, ice cream, etc.). Do I get just a spoon or the combo of the spork? Also, aluminum or titanium? I have been looking at Snow Peak, Sea to Summit, and TOAKS. Any suggestions, or your preference and why, would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I pack what ever (fork, knife, &/or spoon) is appropriate for the food I'm carrying that day(s). Sporks need not apply.

Just ordered a TOAKS long handle Titanium spoon with the polished bowl. This should fill the purpose I need and still keep my "Overlanding credentials". :wings:

I go to Wal-Mart and buy a cheap fork, spoon and knife set. If I feel fancy, I drill a 1/8" hole in the handles and hang them from a key ring.

Now that's living!

I prefer foods that I can eat with my fingers, or just plastic as I hate washing dishes (as it just uses too much water).

I don't know if any of you happened to read my Magnum Opus on the best sporks available: http://expeditionportal.com/expo-tested-who-makes-the-best-spork/

It started out as a joke of sorts, but got serious quickly. Ultimately, people like to kid about the titanium spork being some luxurious over indulgence, but the reality is, they're only a couple bucks more than a stainless spork and they truly are better.

What a great writeup that had me laughing...
I can't believe I missed the article when it posted
too funny and great to see a sense of humor in this area

Oh and I can't stand sporks....just use a spoon as a spoon, a fork as a fork and let's stick to talking about knives as that is what really matters :)
