I have never ordered their stuff, nor used it. This bag is cheap and rated for -30 below, perfect for trucking camping in the cold months when I might sleep in the camper shell of my truck.

Down filled sleeping bags is my preference, but those just don't fit the budget yet and most i find are mummy style and I prefer the large rectangle size...I am 6'2 240lb.

Has anyone had experience with their gear or what they thing about this bag?

Please feel free to suggest cold weather bags that will fall close to this price range.

They are good guys so no real risk if you need to send it back. Cabelas has larger bags with just as good return policy etc but Sportmans guide for 69 bucks is very low risk!

thanks for the input, it lead me to take chance on them.

Cabelas's has been my favorite online ordering source, but it's always nice to find other resources.

I've been using them for years, biggest thing is to read the description they write in their catalog. Lots of stuff is either discontinued closeout stock from another major dealer, used military auction lot items, production line seconds ie blemishes or tolerance issues, or made overseas. Nothing wrong with it, great prices, don't expect a Caddilac for a Chevette though. I bought some hunting and fishing stuff from them with no issue other than one of the ice tilts I bought was broken, called them up and they sent me a new one without requesting the old one back. They told me in that situation to just toss it as it would cost more to send it back to them than it was worth to them. Great customer service.

I have bought a ton of stuff from them.Most of it is used,surplus,over-runs,ex military and whatever.The 1 time I had a problem they didn't even blink and fixed the problem.Enjoy.

I love 'em, especially a fan of the Guide Gear house brand. Their $9 cargo pants are better quality than $40 real brand stuff.

If you haven't tried it yet this is one of the best bags! GF was always cold. Now she has to unzip this bag even when it is like 30 degrees out. I cannot use it, way too warm. One of the best purchases I have ever made. SGdotcom is a great source of equipment and returns are very easy. However, I have gotten a lot from them and have only returned one thing - a pair of shoes that were too small - it was what I ordered so no fault of their's. Everything has always exceeded my expectations - Highly recommend!

I ordered the bag and it arrived. I wanted to test the size so I set it up in apartment, crawled inside and was sweating within about 60 seconds...the bag is fore sure a cold weather bag, will be great for truck camping in low temps. Has a nice rugged outside to it as well.
