I have had a "Go-Light"( http://www.golight.com/products/golight.html ) that I have had for years.

With extra time on my hands I thought a mount on the roof rack would be perfect. The control is wireless so all I need to do is run power. The light sits on the plate with the mag mount . That way I can take the mount off so it does not get beat up by the sun here.

Who knows if I'll ever use it but it is good to have "just in case"

I used one of those for years on my work truck.

Never had one quit on me.

Real nice to be able to shift the light from 100 feet or more away.

I climbed poles during storms to restore electric power and they made night work a lot better.

Do you have the in cab joy stick with it? Nice when you can't quite find the remote fast enough.

I patrolled a lot of lines at night with mine.

Mine had a flood beam and spot beam too!
Good Choice!

so longs as you keep the lens cover on, it should be fine in the sun. I deliver to the company headquaters in Culbertson, Nebraska. Super super nice people, I currently have 2 units, one in black one in white. 11 yrs ago my white one went flying off the roof of my pickup at 85 mph. Hit the ground and bounced along til I got stopped. Thought for sure it was toast, nope, powered up instantly, just massive scratching on two sides and part of the lens. Took it back on a delivery and they repaired it for free.

Also, if anyone is interested, I may still be able to get them at a slight discount. I had something worked out with the owner of the company, but haven't talked to him in a year or so about it.

The sun here destroys everything better to take off what can be removed to save it from the sun. At least here in El Paso the "Sun City"
