german water cans
I've had a pair of these german water cans for about 10 years - spent most of the time on the back of my pinzgauer (looked right on it vs. the US military ones).
I recently had one break when it was knocked over off the back - a drop of 2 feet - apparently the sun had affected the plastic over time. Not too bad though for being ten years old.
I never had the handle break on them - but one of mine had lost the gasket on the lid - causing it to leak water when off-road.
I think the size of the opening is larger than the US military ones - nice for scrubbing it out.
