I think that's the case with any limited edition vehicle, its purely a personal preference thing...theoretically an XD should hold value better than a normal one...yes, its got cool stickers and a great colour..and yes it has the poseur factor of being built by their special vehicle division as well.. One thing that does add value is the genuine roof rack..IF you can get one they are quite expensive and almost an essential piece of kit, add on the lighting and you're good to go... Thankfully some people like to have something that not everybody else has....thank god for free thinking sheep..:smiley_drive:

Mine and Joel's were on Ebay concurrently, his not being XD but is yellow, and I believe his is sold so could be at Flying Circus(great guys as well)

I wonder if anyone would want to trade Scepter MFCs for a TDI Disco 1, not necessarily a XD?

Are there many clone XDs floating around?

Joel's is the only clone I know of- the rack is the toughy to find, and of course a body with no s/r's or roofrail and associated holes for mounting...

Its not just any roof rack...I believe it was made by safety devices which went out ot business...I believe they are up and running again but not planing on making any disco1 or 2 stuff..(I had to find one for a customer the other day..)... I would sell mine...but you know the price is expensive just for a rack... good news is it comes with its own genuine XD underneath it for free..:wings:

As Shayne said- good luck finding a low profile SD rack... might as well look for a genuine CT rack.

Bump. I just talked to the shop where the xd is located. The owner brought it in for a water pump replacement, which turned into a complete engine replacement. The owner apparently didn't like that idea and they havent heard from her in about a month so they are starting the acquisition process soon and when that happens I'll be first on the list to buy it!
