Maybe I'll end it with a funny story how we raced back to Blanding, starving on a Sunday night, to beat the clock and we got the last order in that day at the local A&W burger stand before they closed. I could tell you how while scarfing down a double with cheese, we met Jim and his wife Lorna, in a yellow FJ with an Adventure Trailer in tow, heading to Cruise Moab. They were really nice folks and I hope they enjoyed their Utah trip as much as we did.

Small world. I camped next to that same couple at Cruise Moab. Got the full tour of the AT, the low-down on living in extreme southern Arizona, and shared a bowl Chex Mix with them. They ended up winning $100 worth of gift certificates for Discount Tire in Colorado, but since they had no plans to venture up to my great state, I became the lucky recipient of these coupons! Very kind and generous.

You have done is such a short time what is taking me, well, we have been here two months now!!!
That afternoon with you two went by too quick! Will just have to do it again... sometime soon.
In Needles (Canyonland) by the way right now, still eating sand... but will go back again to Bluff in a couple weeks and use it as a HUB... White Elephant will stay behind and it will just be Old Faithful and Spirit... tenting! It is THAT time of the year... Anyone in the area... come by!... We love to chat... KC and Mia know that...
Be well... Always///Ara & Spirit

It's been a down right crummy and crazy day here in the Baker household, but seeing those pictures of the balloons drifting in the canyon has done wonders for our general disposition. Those are framers if you ask me. Thanks for sharing the pictures and the stories, good stuff!

Excellent report and images K.C. (as usual)! The balloons are amazing. Very cool that you were able to meet Ara and Spirit. I hope to be able to do that someday too.

Hey KC, sorry to resurrect such an old thread. I have been going back through your FWC thread and reading all the cross-links you posted of other journeys. In any case, I noticed this thread's pics are all dead links (or is it just me). I know you typically like to keep on top of this...

Yeah... lost my photo host last summer. I've since moved everything over to SmugMug and rebuilt my FWC thread, but haven't gotten around to my trip threads... I'll get on it so you have something to skim through during those 3am feedings. ;)

Thanks for the reminder pal.

3AM?!? It was 1:30PM my time... =)

Thanks for fixing this... much more enjoyable. Your "No Country for Cold Men" one is broken as well. Just keeping you honest.

Reading all of this makes me miss the States... a lot.

Don't kid yourself... 3am is coming soon. Hope you're sleeping while you can!

I fixed this thread and my, "Good Times, Great Memories Tour" thread yesterday. I'll work on some of the other trip threads today. Since losing my photo host, the majority of my old trip threads will have broken pic links unfortunately... :(
