Squaring off a cockeyed top...

Last year I bought my first camper ever, a 1997 Palomino Bronco 1500. It has a manual roof.

The top is a little cockeyed. The rear is about an inch too far to the passenger side and the front is the opposite. It's close enough that I can get it closed with a little muscle.

Is there a way to square this off so it's a little bit easier to close? Shims, sledgehammer?

Are you sure it's the top? The camper frame might be out of square.

That's a good point. I'm not sure if it's the camper body. I'll check this week. It just seems the top is as far out of alignment in the front as it is in the back. If it's the body, what's the solution?

If its the body; get a buddy a framing square a tape measure and a ratchet strapse a reference point and start adjusting :)

It's a manual rank rook, I don't know what type. I'll have to go over it this week. If it turns out to be the rook arms, can those easily be aligned, do you typically just install washers or shims?
