Stabilizer jack options

As my trailer build is roaring towards a finish... I need to find a way to stabilize the trailer when I have the RTT deployed... I was planning on getting a pair of the atwood legs and bolting them onto the rear but after some measuring, I realized that even their largest model will be too short now that I've gone up in tire size and the axle seat is lower on the new axle than it was on the original axle... The bottom of my frame rails comes out to about 24" while the jack extends to a max of 21.75.... Am I going to be stuck carrying around wooden blocks or are there solutions to this... I'm sure this comes up often given how many of us are running the 1/4 ton trailers.

I'm looking for bolt on solutions as I know there are weld ons out there that are much longer but I don't have access to a welder

Cut the bottom part of leg and weld or bolt on an extension. Looks like you have room between the outer and inner tubing.

Just a thought... I use my high-lift jack to ease the un-level-ness and the spring bounce of my teardrop only when it is hooked to the vehicle. It wont work for a major leveling issues but to make so the soda wont slide off or have a pile up on one side while sleeping it works fine. 1 tool many uses.

That's actually a pretty nifty idea... I see the smaller farm jacks on craigslist for about 20 bucks all the time

I went with these: SJ-100 Stabilizer Jack from Southwest Trailer out of Dallas, TX. I only paid $9.45 each plus shipping. Had to cut base off and add 1x1 tubing. You can see it on thread attached to my profile.

Atwood stabilizers

there is 2 lengths to Atwood stabilizers, I paid $29.00 a pair shipped for the long 24" type from ebay. Check item 180842105855 on ebay. Its looks like you have the short ones??
