Re Ecohubs: Is it possible to easily engage the 2:1 planetaries in the field, or is disassembly required to change from 3.9 to 7.8:1?

Hey Charles,

When you install the Eco hubs you are basically removing the 2:1 Planetaries and it's just 1:1. It's a permanent thing. There is still lots of torque and power but drops the RPM's significantly. The fan rarely kicks in and at cruising speed its much quieter, plus better MPG's.

Do you have a guestimate, of how long the rear overhang is?
How hard do you think it would be to removed the bed over the dinette?
Curious about the feasibility of towing/ or mounting a Moto rack.

Do you mind if we ask, why your selling?

Hi. The rear overhang is roughly 3 feet. I have put a bike rack on the rear hitch and there was plenty of room for upper clearance. The bed can pop out of the rails and it's just a strap system that holds it up so that would be super easy to do. I was also thinking you could custom fab a little "shelf" for extra storage which could drop down. Some other ones have built cabinets around the perimeter too. If I would have seen this before ordering I think I would have done that because having 3 available spots to sleep is a little overkill.

There will be an article written about the truck coming out this weekend and will be posted on this forum. It explains how Ive always been into building unique vehicles and this one was one I bought from a good friend and retrofitted it into an overlander. I just had a kid 6 months ago and we are not using it as much as I would like. I think in 3-5 years I will build another one out for family trips but I just don't see myself using it a ton over the next 2 years between work and everything. It's currently in an undercover RV storage about 20 minutes from my house.

Im happy to do a FaceTime walk thru of the truck and show you anything or take a call too and discuss the features of it. My cell is five oh three - 453-5766.
