tim, my current boxes have a little more volume than a 1650. if i went the pelican case route, i'd want 2x 1650s.

the zarges boxes look sweet, but i'd like to stick with what i know (pelican) and something that would be easier to afford.

I think the 1650s will be able to flip vertical and moved all to one side if the dog needs to go back there OR if 1 jump seat needs to be used. I guess i can always limit my passengers even more so to accommodate the pooch.

I won't be getting my truck back for at least another week, the HGs are getting done and there is some other motor work being taken care of under my extended aftermarket warranty. I'll take measurements, double check to make sure the 1650s fit and then i'll go from there.

TIM....I hate you. lol

Well I just decided to go the pelican case route for cargo storage.

I ordered a 1620 and a 1440. i wont have as much volume as the cargo boxes, however that will make me get rid of extra crap. I also have two 1200s that will be in the back as well. I will be getting 1 or 2 more larger pelican cases from a family member in the US army, he wants some smaller ones so those 1200s will be traded for the big ones.

both were ordered without foam.

they should work out fine, i'll just need to strap them down.

Justin at Lucky8 Offroad (www.lucky8llc.com) was very helpful today as always and was pretty flexible with payment methods, etc. its been about my 4th order with him and i'd recommend the company to anyone.

Agreed on Justin. When I ordered my diff guards, the wrong ones were sent due to a miscommunication. Justin worked hard to make it all right.

also, the pelican cases came in. I took out the old boxes, reorganized and transfered the gear. now it is all in the truck. not nearly as pretty as the boxes i had before, nor can my dog ride all the way in the back now (she rides back seat 90% of the time anyway). BUT they are totally waterproof, can be put on the roof rack, are easily movable, and versatile.

Ever thought about taking your rear seats out? It's not to hard to do and frees up a ton of room.

no place to store them when i take them out. and i do use them every once in a while. i could very easily stack the pelicans on top of each other and fold 1 seat down. or throw them both on the roof for both seats to be folded down. i have plenty of storage between the rack and the boxes.

lol hey buddy.

not exactly. he'll let me take them out, but he won't let me sell them...there for i need to store them someplace...which i do not have room for in either of my residences lol

but in all honesty, its nice to have when my nieces and nephews come to town or while i'm at college when i have a bunch of people wanting to pile in.

i've had the seats in this long and been operating just fine, no reason to take them out when i still have plenty room for more crap.

timmy!!!!!!!

Chris why not take the one out on the left? Especially since it sticks out so much. I was going to take the left on out in my 97 till it got relegated to being driven by my youngest sister.

What exactly did you expect to happen when you drove into that rut?

98% of off road travel is knowing where to place your tires.

You should have seen that comming.

I like the tool bag. Where did you get it?

I found I get stuck on the diffs more after I got the guards. Not the guard's fault. It's just, I was super careful not to hit the diffs before, not wanting to puncture them. Now that they're protected, I'm less careful. But yeah, the rut was obviously not going to work out so well.
