Soft-topper teaser pics:

Black on the Night Armor turned out nice.
The tailgate spoiler was not an issue, I actually use the underside of the spoiler to place the velcro on for the rear flap. It isn't very noticeable from the rear when the flap isnt attached which is great and alot better than putting velcro directly on the paint like the pre-2013 model trucks. I do need to move the rear flap "bar" snap mounts back (towards the cab) about 1/2" which will require 30 seconds and a screw driver in the morning. Moving it towards the cab just a little bit will eliminate the wrinkles on the corners.

I applied 2 layers of seam sealer prior to install and it seems to be working so far, as it began to rain shortly after install. I will take it for an interstate speed test drive later to see about road noise etc and check for leaks as well after driving in the rain.

thank you to Dwill817 for helping me get the last few bits done on this install.

overall it went pretty smooth until the last few buttons. Luckily it was a "warm" day so the fabric wasn't too bad.

I'll take some better photos tomorrow in the day light and out of the driveway.

I am very happy I chose the black with the night armor instead of the grey option. The black basically matches the truck's color pretty well at most angles because of the light reflection off the surface of the vinyl. the grey would have been far too light for a Night Armor truck, it might look good though on a normal silver color.

I have the exact same truck. (good choice on the black)

Can you put up a shot of the softopper folded up to the back whenever you do that, please?

I like it a lot. It reminds me of the UN troops Hiluxes with their soft toppers. And you've even got a nice tent ready for an air mattress in the back if you choose to use it as such.

No can do. It is recommended by soft-topper to leave it in the up position for a while after install or at least until temps get "warm" due to the vinyl needing time to stretch and settle properly. also the clear windows can crack if they are folded when it gets cold (like freezing or close to it). I will be heading down to south florida around xmas. if the temps are warm there when I go, then I will try and fold it down for some photos. I promise I will post photos of it folded at some point, but it may not be for a month or 2.

I should have taken some staged "folded" photos when I was doing the install, but I didnt think about it. sorry.

stioc, soft tops definitely give a pick-up a military-esque look. I was talking to my girlfriend about using it as a tent with an air mattress instead of using an actual tent next time we go camping. It does seem rather cozy in there.

Took a cruise down (and back up) skyway motorway and skyline drive. Ran into 3 off-road bikers while I was out there taking some footage.

Trail was nice an open thanks to the cold weather and hunting traffic. Mild as usual, but still fun for the truck, myself, and the dog.

I really like that soft top, my Dad's been looking at one for his Ram. Interested in seeing how it works for you, seems like a good option. Nice pics by the way, love all the fall leaves! :sombrero:

it was much prettier about 2 weeks ago when all the leaves still had color.

I was on skyway this weekend too. We went up yesterday and camped last night. It was cold but like always, it was a good time.

yep. I ran into quite a few hunters today. but no 4 wheeled vehicles. I did see a truck towing a trailer for either a side by side or ATV at the Kentuck ORV/OHV trail head.
