I need one of those for when the girlfriend's German Shepherd joins us out at the park. What's worse is that my Frontier came with that mesh seat material that is a pain to vacuum out.

Granted, you also need to tie her in the truck to keep her from jumping out...

i knew that factory fabric seating would be a disaster with my dog, leather was a necessity for me for that reason.

I haven't seen a '13 yet, but is the rear axle vent still on the axle or have they mounted it remote? If the vent is still on the axle, google "frontier or Titan rear axle vent mod" your axle seals will thank you. Since your in Florida and it's getting near rainy season, you may want to look into it sooner than later.

Nice truck!

I do believe it is still on the axle. ****** were they thinking???? I need to do the mod for sure. I'm currently in Alabama, so it isnt as critical right now, but there is still a good share of splashing around up here.

actually, I bought all the materials for the axle breather setup today. only thing I am missing is the toyota union part, the toyota parts department should have it by tomorrow though.

Think I might do that next weekend when I do my oil change.

Toyota Tech: What can I do for you today, sir?
Me: Yeah, I need this part number.
Toyota Tech: Ah, sure thing! Doing some work to your Tacoma?
Me: No, working on my Frontier.
Toyota Tech: ...
Me: ....
Toyota Tech: We're ... we're a Toyota store.
Me: I know.

Toyota Tech: It'll be here tomorrow.
Me: Thanks!
Toyota Tech: ... Weirdo.

Washed the truck and then gave the rear axle a chance to breath.

ended up buying less hose than I needed, but luckily (thanks to my pack-rat ways) I had extra lying around from another project. I made sure there was enough slack to allow the truck room to flex, but not enough so that it would get snagged on anything. I also doubled up the tubing in areas where rubbing may occur, to prevent any rips or tears down the road. I also made sure NOT to tighten zip ties past "snug" on the brake lines.... don't want to kink those up. Easy Mod, hopefully it will save my seals long term, even though I have a factory warranty for another 58,000 miles.... that flimsy little one-way valve was doomed, but I will save it in case I need to make any warranty claims on the rear end.
