Storage solutions for empty space behind seats-Ford Ranger Extended Cab

I used to keep my stuff in the cab like the OP, then I rolled my ranger. After getting clocked by my compressor and having my max axe land in my lap I decided that that was a bad idea. Fortunately I only ended up black and blue in a few spots. Now I have everything tied to the floor.

Glad you said that. I really need to make a net to go over my stuff. Especially since I just got a new air compressed. Sucker is heavy. If the crash didn't kill me the gear would for sure 8l

Wanted to post a quick update. Materials are bought, hopefully be done by tomorrow or Tuesday. Can't wait to get it done. Excited.

Here is it all packed in the truck. Fits much better, and I can fit much more. Made out of 2 1x6x6's cut down for the box with dividers. 3/8 plywood on top left over from my bed storage platform build, along with a piano hinge for the access panels. I found a couple sash locks in the garage to hold the access panels down, along with a magnetic catch. Turned out well, and the fit is perfect for the truck. Coated the top with 3 coats of Rustoleum bed liner, and 3 coats of Plasti-dip for a non-slip surface. Might put carpet down in the future, depends on how well it holds up.
