My lower front quad shock mount is custom, but the upper mounts are stock. I removed one shock per side and chose the upper and lower mounts combo that put the low end out as close to the tire as possible, and that stood the shock as upright as possible.

ntsqd: I think that's what I'm going to do now. After installing the Bilstein's with my wife yesterday, the ride in the rear is so incredibly super duper much better (really, totally, absolutely way better) that I will just go with what Bilstein spec's for the front too. The Bilstein 5100's are definitely worth the money, especially if you plan to spend any appreciable time driving off-road.

While working on the engine yesterday, I found the radio antenna wire. It goes to the passenger side fender, and then it's cut after a connection (thankfully after the connection).

I can't wait to take this vehicle out. Now that we have more daylight in the evening, hopefully if I stop working these 12+ hr days I can get more work done on this thing. Some friends of ours are itching to go out too (Wilson!) since I helped install a lift on their 4-runner last weekend. Weather has gotten great here in Nor-Cal too, sunshine & dry days ahead!
