Hi all!
I have a stock 2021 GMC 3500HD AT4. At the moment, I have a Transferflow 50 gallon in bed auxiliary tank in the bed, an Agricover Adarac Aluminum Series, and a Roofnest Condor 2 XL. Now that we no longer have a 5th wheel and have downsized to something more maneuverable, I'm looking into truck toppers. All of the toppers I've found are not as tall as I'd like. I'm trying to find something that's a "Deuce and a half" style topper that my two kids can sleep in, and my wife and I can sleep in the tent.
I have the following requirements, feedback and input would be greatly appreciated.
So far, the only thing I've found that even comes are the AT Overland topper and the Dirtbox topper. The RSI is a no go for me since it's in multiple pieces and I've seen several videos of folks having theirs come apart on rough roads.
Any other suggestions?
Dirtbox Overland
AT Overland
Thanks!
Todd

- Ideally, I'd like something that's 2 1/2' or so higher than my bed rails.
- Made of aluminum or something composite. NOT a fiberglass topper
- Supports > 700 lbs on the roof when stationary, and at least 400 lbs off roading
- Driver's side opens so I can continue to use my in bed auxiliary tank
