Not with a 500lb FWC Finch shell model.
What is the payload on your Frontier?

thanks for the replies.... I'm thinking I need a bigger truck. The 143 HP is measured at 5200rpms.
I never reach 3300 the way I drive. My guess is near 100HP at best.

My payload is
capacity 1,400 pounds
Maximum towing capacity3,500 pounds...

just got that feeling I will regret hauling 900 lbs around and pretending I'm enjoying it.

there's an inexpensive way to find out - up here I can head to Home Depot - get 18 x 50lb bags of sand and give it a twirl.

you won't have the wind resistance but you'll have a better idea. if it feels ok you're on your way.

Might not be as bad as you think. A little slow on the hills, but totally doable.
If you can keep the payload down around 1k.

I agree with the Flippac opinion and also with the trailer idea that was mentioned. A slide in camper is going to be a hastle with the 4-banger engine. You probably wont blow the engine up, it's too tough for that, but will really be running it hard and will slow you down lots. Definately stick with OEM size tires or plan on regearing the truck with a slide in.
