Take a look at Corbeau also, I recently installed Baja XRS seats in my van
(Expo thread) and previously had the GTS II seats in my old van. I traveled on many long distance journeys with the GTS II and were very comfortable and supportive and affordable, a good overall experience. The only thing that comes to mind is that I would have preferred an extendable leg rest for my long legs like my old original equipment Recaro seats, but not in the budget for the van.
In choosing new seats, I narrowed my choices to the Baja XRS or Sport Seat in vinyl as I didn't want to climb over the taller lower side bolster of the GTS II and also preferred a slightly wider seat to have a bit more wiggle room this time around. The vinyl option was just a durability, ease of cleaning and longevity choice over cloth. I wasn't really into the
boy racer looks so much with the Baja XRS but I liked some of the features and dimensions compared to the GTS II and Sport Seat. Seat heaters are an option, which I plan to install sometime as is inflatable lumbar support and can be purchased with those options pre-installed.
For installation, the height of the GTS II seats with Corbeau adapter brackets on stock seat bases was just a bit too tall for my preference but the Baja XRS have multiple threaded mounting options so was able to mount without using adapter brackets (re-drilled seat bases) and I'm pretty satisfied with the height of the Baja XRS.
I ordered both sets from
apexperformance.net because they are just nice people to deal with. If you don't see the seat on their site, email Linda for a quote, they are drop shipped from Corbeau with free shipping.
