FWIW, I am really pleased with the OME suspension I currently have, but I have had Alcans on my old FJ40 and two different minitrucks. I was very happy with the Alcan springs on all of those trucks. For those considering Alcans, just a note from my own personal experience. They will almost always have more lift than specified when you first put them on. That's normal from what I understand because they are going to settle and Alcan designs them to still retain the specified lift height after they have settled. Also, on the first two sets of Alcans springs that I used I felt that the length of the leaves was just a little short causing a shackle angle that was a little too steep. This can affect suspension travel but will definitely creat a slightly harsher ride. On the third set of springs I got from them I requested an extra inch in the length of the leaves (without changing the location of the centerpin). I ended up with MUCH better shackle angle and a very nice ride as a result.
