On any other forum I would never post this thread, but being as EXPO is such a great eCommunity I was hoping for advice.
I am thinking of upgrading atleast the front suspension and probably the rear as well. I did all my own work on my Rubicon when I swapped the suspension but I don't feel as confident when looking under the taco with the rear leafs and front IFS. I'm more interested in travel and ride quality/component quality before height.
I don't plan on going any taller then 235/85R16s and could probably fit those of the stock suspension but I am looking for more travel and improved ride. I am not looking at a whole lot of height. For the rears I was thinking Deaver 8 packs but am unsure on how much height that would net. For the front I am looking at Donahoe but am not 100% on how the adjustibility works. I am fairly capable and have access to a shop with a lift and all the bells and whistles. Is this something I can do on my own (with a little help from my friends... que Ringo Starr)?
I am trying to stay off the path I went down with my Jeep... I modified the heck out of it and made it unbearable on the road. The taco is my DD and I want if anything to improve the on street ride. Any suggestions from your expierence or the setups you all are running would be great. Install tips for dialing in the suspension would also help alot.
I drive an '02 TRD Quad Cab Tacoma.
Thanks,
Josh
