Ah, the "Grass-is-always-greener" syndrome strikes again.![]()

Instead of focusing on what you CAN'T get in the US (which too many people seem to do), just choose one of the many vehicles that ARE available and figure out how to make it work. There's nothing magical about a D110 or a 70 series LC. They're trucks, plain and simple. There's not one feature that those vehicles have that you can't get in a vehicle available in the US. Can you get all of them? Probably not but you can almost certainly find something that will work for your purposes.

Bottom line, if you can't find a vehicle that suits your needs, you aren't looking hard enough.
Bang on. Lots of Europeans or Aussies would drool at 400+ hp "petrol" engines that working class men could feed, or a Cummins dually with as much power as their "lorries".
For the OP, I think a modern Power Wagon is one of the most over-built off roaders. It shares a 50,000 psi frame with a dually that tows 30k lbs. It uses the 11.5" AAM axle from the pre-2013 dually. Basically, the entire drive train is designed for trucks with higher GVW and GCW.
If you have to have an SUV, ever thought about a 2500 Suburban? It has enough interior space and payload to compete with the best that D110s and LC70s have to offer. Sure, it's thirstier, but its 6.0 and 6spd auto also rockets up hill at double the speed of a 110, and our fuel is dirt cheap compared to Europe.
