I'm not sure if any others can be run from a panel. If you call Swampy the owner is very helpful and can answer that question. I bought the Mighty Kool because I got a good deal on it. If money were not an issue i would have chosen one of the units that pump ice water from a self contained reservoir in the unit itself. Those units perform much better in humid climates and perform closer to an AC unit. Still the Mighty Kool should work fine in the Owens Valley and Death Valley area where I will be using it the majority of the time.
