Making videos of your off-road exploits just got cheaper.
Swann has announced a tiny new video camera and a shockproof, waterproof case. Priced at $99, the Swann Sportsman package includes a case, camera and MicroSD card. The camera records 2.5 hours of 640x480 color video on a single charge. That resolution is fine for YouTube. (If you want to record HD, check out the GoPro Hero HD or Contour HD, price $300+)
While Swann says the camera is mountable on a helmet, I worry about the damage a head-mounted cam can inflict on your cranium in a crash. I prefer a dash mount or bumper mount.
