I was wondering the same thing...I thought maybe some type of delivery for a quick access? Or, maybe, the PO added them in? Also the generator(?) section behind the driver side rear wheel.

The guy called me back. It was a border patrol maintenance vehicle. They had some machine that went out the side. Who knows what that was?

Aha! That’s totally it. Mobile baggage X-ray machine. Some of them look pretty sweet. Big box with gullwing doors so the conveyor is covered on both sides. Future overland vehicles for sure.
