Just a little back-story on the mega-buck airport fire crash trucks.
You always see these trucks that had a new list price $500,000+ for sale cheap used, because there is a very very very small market for them.
In general an airport fire department can buy a brand new truck with a grant from the Federal Government (aka your tax dollars) picking up 90% of the cost.
So why would the only people that can use these buy a used vehicle for 10 cents on the dollar, when they can get a new one for 10 cents on the dollar.
Also in general these trucks are crazy wide, well over the normal max vehicle width of 102 inches. It kind of kills your expo-trip when you have to hire wide-load pilot cars to go with you on your trip :Wow1:
