Ah, only if we had a donor FJ 45 or a Brute to play with...any offers?
I have an FJ40 I'd be willing to let you play with...Seriously. You can take it back when you're in PHX for the Outdoor expo. There's got a be a few FJ40s floating around with rotten beds (mine's not actually) that people might consider doing something different.

The rack is a Surco Safari 7250 (72"L x 50"W x 5"H) . We set it up with a full set of floor slats, 4 cross bars, shovel & axe carrier, hi-lift carrier and a tire carrier. When assmbled correctly with a bit of loctite, it's a pretty stout system.

where did u get it?

Scotty & Matt's work over the weekend went well despite foul weather and electrical gremlins in the Taco. The top of the rack falls a few inches below the cab. Since this Taco has a 3" body lift, it's safe to say that this will be flush with a stocker. The combination of the body lift and 6" of spring lift & shackles makes this Taco look insane! The rack could easily be replaced with a roof top tent and still have approximatelty the same roof profile. We've still got a bit of work to wrap this up such as completing the electrical, dropping the fender wells down and installing the can holder/steps. Other mods in the works before showing at ISE in PHX are new sliders & mudflaps. What's really cool about this whole build is that it will result in an easy bolt on kit for any Taco.

:smileeek: Wow! Well, if your goal was to attract less attention I would say you failed miserably. That is beyond cool.

SO NICE!!! Man, that is really nearing the ultimate expedition / crawler rig! Sounds like you may be going in the direction of a kit?
