Tacoma front diff drop

Hello everyone, I have yet another question. What I have is a '98 Tacoma with the 2.7L 4Banger.. I've purchased the AllPro front diff drop kit, but can't seem to see how it will work. I've asked AllPro if it will install in the 4Cyl model, and they have assured me that it will. From what I can see, parts of the Diff only have about a quarter inch of room before they hit a cross member. Could I be wrong? Has anyone here dropped the front diff in their 4Cyl TTac??

Thank you,

MM

the diffs are the same 95.5-04 regardless of engine size, so yes, it will fit. the reason it looks like it will only be able to drop 1/4 inch before it hits the crossmember is because they only drop the assembly closest to the front of the truck about 7/8", and the rear stays put, so at the most you are relieving the cv bind 1/2", and then many argue the driveshaft angle then gets tweaked by doing so, and results in moving your problem to another area. alot of people say the spacers have no positive effect and you really don't need them, they are simply a waste of money. i have them on my truck, and still have a torn cv boot, so they didn't solve any problems. i have to agree, they are kind of worthless.
