It turns out the connector needed was the one that went into the seat heater control module, the one that seems to want to murder itself and take the connector with it. For our side we have tons of the connectors and pin terminals as part of the harness assembly. After he detailed the issue, which we were aware of but didn't know it was so pervasive, we figured it was a perfect time to just make up a quick kit that has the connector and the pin terminals: https://www.tolerance-stack.com/product-page/seat-heater-computer-connector-repair-kit
