YES! well in a way. The 2nd gen taillights have different black shroud-housing in comparison to the 2.5 gen.
2.5 Gen housings are wider to accommodate the wider body line. You can take apart the units and use the inner light portion and keep the original black shroud from your 2.5gen.
Thats what I had to do when I found out I had a crack in the taillight.
