Taking decals OFF soft top plastic?

Hi folks.. what's the best way to remove decals from a Jeep soft top window? Any thoughts?

WARM them with hair dryer, and peel. It'll leave residue, but Simple Green and a soft cloth should remove it. Some folks have used Goo Gone, but it is kinda harsh and might cloud plastic. If they've been on for a couple years, you may not be able to completely clean them off as the adhesive has etched the plastic.
